Hailing from the small town of Hare Bay, in central Newfoundland, Bryan Oram was born into a family of musical tradition. His parents were music lovers and there was an army of musicians stemming from both sides of the family tree. His father was one of these, and Bryan’s earliest memories of music are of watching his dad at band practice or listening to old Hank Williams tapes as he worked.

Although he always had a profound interest and love for music, Bryan didn’t pick up an instrument or open his mouth to sing until he was around 16 years old. Oddly enough though, once he started, it was almost as if he had been playing since the day he was born. With this newly discovered talent, along with his undying passion for Country, Blues and Rock, Bryan quickly became a budding young musician. He began playing in a band with his father around town and in local bars, and upon graduating high school it was well known to all exactly what his ambitions were.

Bryan soon headed off to college to further pursue his career and found a seat in the “Music Industry and Performance” class of 2004. It was there that he began playing with various bands and it didn’t take long before he was performing with well-respected Newfoundland musicians such as Wade Pinhorn, Neil Bishop, Terri Lynn Eddy, Renée Batten, and Karla Pilgrim, to name a few. Upon graduating from college, he continued playing with Terri Lynn Eddy in a band called Forte, who would later disband and evolve into the Terri Lynn Eddy band.

Bryan has performed countless shows at various venues across the Island and Canada. His influences consist of such artists as Richie Sambora, Slash, Marc Knopfler, Keith Urban, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Colin James, and such local artists as Neil Bishop and Cory Tetford.

With slick soulful guitar playing and a love affair with music, Bryan will soar into the future as one of Newfoundland’s finest musicians.
